For the past 12 years I've had the pleasure of being involved with the great game of poker. As a Supervisor/Poker Houseman, I worked with an incredible team of people to develop a poker room at a successful casino in Edmonton, Alberta. Along the way I noticed that there were not nearly enough women participating at the poker tables. As a woman in the poker industry, I asked myself why there were so few women joining in the fun … and the answer seemed to be that many women felt intimidated - they questioned whether they have the skills and confidence to join the poker table.
At Poker Chicks 101 we know that women can play poker and we want to teach you how to play in a fun and comfortable environment - an experience that you won’t soon forget! See you at the table!
